As a clinic in Gujarat's Morbi was given a last-minute tidy up in front of State head Narendra Modi's visit to the site, a man madly looked for a missing couple past 12 PM, however griped that everybody was distracted with the uber visit.
Vinod Dapat said he had searched wherever for his brother by marriage's young little girl and her life partner, who had gone to the exceptionally old "hanging span" for a Sunday outing.
"It has been over 24 hours, I have gone to the extension site, I have looked all over in the clinic, however nobody is helping," he told NDTV as he proceeded with his vigil sometime later.
Vinod's niece Manisha had called her family around 4 pm on Sunday and had let them know that she was making a beeline for the extension.
That was the last they heard from her.
Around 6.31 pm, the extension imploded, killing 135 individuals and obliterating scores of families.
"From that point forward, their telephone is turned off and we haven't heard a single thing from both of them," Vinod said.
"I have been here since yesterday. I came from Jamnagar. I went to the site and saw many bodies being recuperated from the waterway. In any case, there is no indication of them."
